Job Description:    Description To create and maintain clinical trial databases and related software.​ To provide software expertise and support within DM.​ To perform database administrations tasks.​ To assist with training.​ KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES: Functional Tasks DB creation Prepare annotated CRFs /​e-CRFs as necessary Develop, unit test, document, perform change control and maintain databases for clinical trials (including modifications during Trial Conduct) Set up coding modules (Adverse Events, Concomitant Medications, Medical History) Program administrative data reports as needed for EDC trials Develop and modify eCRFs as needed for the standard global library Experience with EDC systems especially InForm(tm) Edit Check Creation Program, unit test, document, perform change control of and maintain edit checks (including modifications during Trial Conduct) Program reports or listings Develop and modify edit checks as needed for the standard global library Database Operations Run edit checks or listings on clinical data according to timelines communicated by the Trial Data Manager if needed Perform electronic data loads Ensure adequate version control of all files Provide relevant documentation and data for archiving Upgrade the database, data entry screens, external data load programs and check programs to new versions Assign/​restrict access rights to clinical trial databases Lock/​unlock databases as requested Managerial Tasks System maintenance and process improvements Contribute to the continuous improvement, re-engineering and implementation of processes, tools, technologies, conventions, standards, policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Working Instructions (WIs) as needed Maintain and document applications for database set-up, data entry screens, external data load programs and check programs for data validation with the corresponding procedures, packages and libraries Training - Providing Mentor DBDs in all aspects of the DM process Train and give guidance to the DM staff on the use of the applications (either existing or new ones) Assist with training of DBDs Training - Receiving Keep up to date with job related topics Be up to date with SOPs, WIs, and user manuals and maintain training log

Required Skills:    EDUCATION/​LANGUAGES Basic Science/​Bachelor of Science degree in health related field and/​or computer science or equivalent Excellent knowledge of English PROFESSIONAL & TECHNICAL SKILLS Proven experience in clinical data management in the pharmaceutical/​biotechnology industry, equivalent to 4 years Proficiency with Oracle SQL, PL/​SQL (packages, stored procedures and database triggers) Proficiency with Oracle utilities (SQL Loader, import, export) Proficiency with HTML, XML, VBSCRIPT Knowledge of UNIX is a plus Knowledge of Web based EDC is a plus Knowledge of Oracle and PL/​SQL tuning is a plus Excellent knowledge of regulations and guidances with regard to clinical development and the systems used in this context Excellent written, verbal and organization skills Ability to handle multiple projects Mentoring and training skills.​ Excellent team player
