Job Description:

Ecommerce retailer seeks talented PhD Statistician who will be successful in a dynamic and challenging real-time data driven work environment. Ideal candidate will possess the following attributes: ability to communicate with all levels of employees, strong analytical abilities, trending/forecasting/regression modeling experience, attention to detail, data management skills, initiative and ability to own projects from start to finish, can approach tasks strategically as well as own and master the details. Responsibilities: Support the drive for volume, profit, cash and share growth: 1) Monitor volume/pricing/mix trends, elevating insights and assisting in development and execution of action plans 2) Identify and perform "Deep dive" analysis/data mining on special business topics (eg: Marketing ROI, activity based analysis/productivity improvements) Ensure accurate reporting, effective controls and the evolution of analytics services: 3) Help steward data/system/infrastructure/report/project/etc needs to foster evolution of analytics services Achieve synergies/efficiency through process/reporting improvements: 4) Help to streamline processes/increase efficiencies within teams 5) Assist with the QA of new reporting and analytics tools, working with development.

Required Skills:

Education: PhD in Statistics required; Business background or degree a plus. Computer Skills: 1) Advanced Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint. 2) Advanced experience with statistical modeling software (SAS, SPSS), and SQL. 3) Advanced experience with business intelligence tools and data extraction, migration, cleansing, mining etc. 4) SAP skills a plus.
