Our client is an innovative, efficient and firmly solution oriented, global pharmaceutical company aspiring to become the number one provider of healthcare solutions around the world. They are seeking a Statistical Programmer on a 12 month contract at their site in South East England. JOB ROLE: The Statistical Programmer supports the Biostatistics team by carrying out basic statistical programming work and providing statistical programming and validation support for both internal and external EGC projects. The Statistical Programmer operates as an effective team member, demonstrating the ability to work efficiently and to a high standard within a clinical team environment. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES include: • Providing statistical programming and validation support for analysis datasets, statistical tables, figures, listings, patient profiles, SAS transport files, related clinical trials and for other internal and external requests (e.g., publications) • Accessing and converting data to SAS from ClinTrial Database management system and PC file formats • Working with external vendors in order to develop or monitor the content and structure of SAS datasets when necessary • Providing input in developing SOPs, SWPs, the Statistical Analysis Plan (SAP) and other related technical documents • Providing input to the Database and CRF Development, creating edit check programs and providing feedback to Data Management

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: • Degree in associated functional discipline e.g. biostatistics, statistics or computer science • Masters degree preferred • Previous relevant experience preferred • Some previous Oncology experience required • Experience using SAS-Base, MACRO, STAT, GRAPH, ACCESS, MS Office • Some experience with Unix or Windows operating systems • Understanding of the software development life cycle is desirable
