Job Description:

SAS DEVELOPER, BALTIMORE, MD Our Client is looking for a SAS Developer to join their team in Baltimore, MD on a 6 month temp to perm basis. Responsibilities: · This opening is focused on an experiences SAS developer with strong technical, mathematical, and analytical skills. · Serve as the company expert and point-of-contact for SAS / RD and other SAS development tools. · Good communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently and follow standards. · Daily requirements include support of overnight batch SAS processes Monday through Saturday, as well as analysis and development of new requirements based on functional specifications. · Some on call after hours work may be required as well.

Requirements: · Direct hands-on experience using SAS BASE (SAS/RD & SAS/BI a plus). · Work with the relevant stakeholders to incorporate best practices into the SAS environment. · Own and maintain SAS system documentation. · Assess business needs and identify potential solutions. · Validate functional requirements. · Validate requirements gathering completeness & on-going maintenance. · Validate test cases against functional requirements. · System test execution. · Validate development & execution of test plan. · Validate test data scenarios. · Ensure that system controls are in place to meet compliance requirements. · Estimate work efforts accurately. · Ability to mentor junior SAS developers. · Ability to stabilize and automate existing processes efficiently. · Strong math and analytical skills related to curve and cube definitions based on risk dimensions. · Understanding of financial markets and terminology. · Ability to translate functional user requirements into value added technical solutions. · Good oral and written communication skills are essential. · The ability to multi-task, change priorities and change direction are essential.
