Job Description:

The Default Data Analyst supports the data, reporting and automation needs of Default and Retention Operations. Responsibilities include maintaining existing data discovery efforts, developing requirements and delivering results for ad hoc requests, applying technical skills to enhance automation for efficiency and functioning as a data SME on corporate initiatives as needed. Qualified candidates will be adept at working directly with customers in the business areas to define requirements based on the customer's desired output. Professional verbal and written communication skills are essential, as the Default Data Analyst regularly interacts with all levels of Default management and often interacts with external partners in support of audits.

Required Skills:

(1) The Default Data Analyst should have moderate to advanced Base SAS skills along with intermediate to expert skill working with Excel and pivot tables. Demonstrated success functioning for at least 3 years in a fast paced SAS data and reporting environment is required. A bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline along with 5+ years in the financial services is strongly preferred. The most successful candidate will demonstrate additional experience working with SQL, Access and PC SAS. (2) The Default Data Analyst should have moderate to advanced SQL server 2000 programming, ASP and ASP.net, VB 6.0 and VB .net skills along with intermediate to expert skill working with Excel and pivot tables. Experience working with Base SAS and/or PC SAS strongly preferred. Demonstrated success functioning for at least 3 years in a fast paced data and reporting environment is required. A bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical discipline along with 5+ years in the financial services is strongly preferred. The most successful candidate will demonstrate additional experience working with SQL, Access and PC SAS.

Desired Skills:

Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in business management, management information systems (MIS), finance.
